Vochay Design · Now in Development

Vochay
Design.

Architectural logic for the era of agentic AI.

The AI that drives architects' existing software.
Natural language in. Constructible architectural drawings out.
For the architect who designs — not the one who clicks.

The Prompt

“Generate a modern two-story residential house, with a double front porch.”   Native BIM in Archicad.

What BIM Is

BIM — Building Information Modeling is the 3D software architects actually build in. It's a to-scale model where every wall carries its real dimensions, its layers, and the specific materials and construction products it's made from. Geometry, plus the information that makes it buildable.

01 · The Opening

We automated the factory.

We're still clicking the drawings.

Every rendering farm, every CNC router, every modular factory — all fed by input methods designed in the 1990s. Archicad. Revit. Vectorworks. The legal standards of the industry, still operating on cockpit-style interfaces built for operators, not designers. The principal architect — the one with the thirty years of judgment — has always needed a human intermediary to translate design intent into the software. Vochay removes that intermediary. The architect speaks. The model responds.

1990s

UI paradigm still shipping in every major BIM suite, while the rest of construction has moved to robotic fabrication and photorealistic cloud rendering.

"Can we make the building ten feet wider?"
— The six words that rebuild an entire 3D model by hand. SD and DD are the most valuable phases — and the most inefficient. One change cascades through the entire model, redrawn manually, line by line.
02 · The Product

Natural language in.
Native, constructible BIM out.

We don't generate pictures of buildings. We generate the building data itself, inside the architect's legal working file.

Each step is deterministic. Each step is inspectable. Nothing the AI does is opaque to the engineer reviewing it.

03 · Milestones · The Journey

The engine is already running.

Not a whitepaper. A working system currently generating multi-story BIM geometry.

01
Shipped
First autonomous wall.
One wall. Full 3D. Verified geometry.
The proof that a language model can command legacy BIM safely.
02
Shipped
A ground floor that holds.
Four walls. One slab.
The first moment the system produced something an architect would recognize as a room.
03
Shipped
Two-story shell, closed.
Multi-story walls + slabs + hip roof.
Inter-story logic plus a complete structural shell, generated from a single prompt.
04
Shipped
Autonomous openings.
Windows & doors. 100+ library types.
Closes the full SD modeling loop — walls, slabs, roofs, and openings — with zero manual clicks throughout.
04 · The Landscape

Everyone else is solving the wrong layer.

Five categories. None of them produce what architects actually deliver.

The exact triad.

Domain authority. Consumer design. Systems integration. All three are required.

Stephanie Ferrell, FAIA
Founder & Principal Architect
30 years practicing · AIA Fellow

30-year practicing architect and Fellow in the American Institute of Architects who identified the core problem, assembled the team, and keeps the product anchored to how design actually works. As a principal who has always directed drafters and CAD operators — never operating the software herself — she represents exactly who Vochay is built for. She authors the Architectural Logic Gates, encoding three decades of practice into the rules that keep every AI command within the bounds of what a working architect would actually build.

CS
Christopher Stringer
BIM Specialist & Educator
Certified Archicad trainer · GDL scripting

BIM specialist with deep proficiency across Archicad, Revit, SketchUp, and architectural animation software. Chris has taught Archicad at a professional level — his training credential is specific to that platform — and brings rare technical depth: he has designed parametric objects in GDL, Archicad's own scripting language, and orchestrated how those objects are accessed by the program, giving him programming-level insight into how BIM geometry is constructed from the inside. His reference project and training methodology define the standard of correctness Vochay is built to meet.

Built the AI → BIM engine & guardrail agent

Vochay Design's lead developer. Built and manages the Tapir/MCP bridge connecting the AI orchestrator directly to Archicad's core engine, and the Architect guardrail layer that audits every placed element against codified rules and safely auto-corrects what it can — every fix independently reversible, even across sessions. Proved the pipeline's fidelity by rebuilding a real production project element-by-element: walls, terrain, and railings reproduced down to exact material thickness and hardware geometry, not just approximate shapes.
